Summary

DAR locomotive No. 2552 photographed in front of the Kentville Repair Shop by an unknown photographer, 1930s, courtesy Mark Penny. The shiny paint finish suggests it is fresh from a refit. Boarding car 851 and Boxcar 69832 can be glimpsed to the right. Car 851 was scrapped in 1939 indicating a pre-1939 date and suggesting the refit was its July 1937 repainting in DAR colours after 2552's arrival on the line.
