Steel caboose reported as 437474 on the DAR, should read 437434. Re Nov/Dec 80 SRS Newsletter... 437474 not on DAR.
I am told that the ex DAR wooden vans were sent up to Montreal, and that some of them are being fixed up and turned out for local service again up in Quebec. The DAR wooden vans were in pretty fair shape, so I guess its possible that more use could be found in them... The DAR crews are not to happy with the ex flangers, that are used as caboose on DAR now, seems they ride quite rough.
