Train No. 26

1929-1938 The "New Yorker" Yarmouth-Halifax Summer-Only Fast Passenger

  • The New Yorker left Yarmouth at 12:15 pm Tues & Fri. Arrived Halifax at 7:55 pm, timed to connect to SS Evangeline and later SS Acadia sailing from New York.
  • Ran from Mid June to Mid September.
  • Only scheduled to stop at major stations, but passengers with New York steamship tickets could have it stop anywhere on the line.
