Located in the west end of Digby by Racquette Cove, the wye allowed locomotives and cars to be turned. The wye was built by the DAR in 1895 and replaced the need for trains to go to Weymouth and turn: "The DAR is building a new wye in Digby, just east of the Raquette Bridge at Samlleys? frels? and have it about completed. Trains will turn here instead of going to Weymouth. It is the only one on the line and will be of great convenience."[1] In earlier decades, locomotives in Digby had been turned on a small turntable by the Digby Station built by the Western County Railway.
