Annapolis Royal Esso Bulk Plant
Doug Shaffner contributes this recollection for the wiki:
Beyond the tank car in photo can be seen the unloading rack for the Imperial Oil bulk plant, which was adjacent to ours. They employed a series of jointed elbows, resulting in a much higher configuration.
No. 25, Strathcona with a westbound express at the Annapolis Royal Station, circa 1920. Note also the freight shed and the bulk fuel facility behind the station.
A passenger train at the Annapolis Royal Station with the freight shed and Imperial Oil Bulk Plant and the old W&AR Annapolis Royal Enginehouse in background, circa 1920.
Derailment in Annapolis Royal Railyard with box car DAR 106308 and Imperial Oil car tank car IOX2058 for the Imperial Oil Bulk Plant, May 7, 1922.
Fort Anne in foreground and in background: the Annapolis Royal Enginehouse from the west, Annapolis Royal Esso Bulk Plant and the Annapolis Royal Freight Shed, July 1931.
Water tower at left, station in centre and freight shed at right at Annapolis Royal on August 27, 1956.
