Weymouth Station

Mile 41.4 Yarmouth Subdivision,

History

The station at Weymouth was built by the Western Counties Railway about 1879 with their distinctive overhanging eaves and gingerbread, similar to the original Digby and Yarmouth Station. The station remained in service until June 1, 1971 when it was closed and the order board signal was removed.[1] The building survived until August 1982 when it was demolished and replaced by a VIA Rail shelter.
