On Saturday October 30, 1965 (2), No. 9058 was involved in a [[Chronicle-Herald 1965-11-01 - Dayliner Wreck|head on crash]] with a [[Burro Crane]] at [[Coldbrook]], Mile 3 of the Kentville Subdivision. The Chroncile-Herald reported the accident on the front page on [[Chronicle-Herald 1965-11-01 - Dayliner Wreck|November 11, 1965]]. The impact dislodged seats from the floor according to the conductor on that run, [[Manning, Albert|Albert "Shine" Manning]]. Dominion Atlantic Railway Budd Rail Diesel Car RDC-1 No. 9058

RDC No. 9058 and its sister unit No. 9059 were the first "Dayliners" on the DAR inaugurating the Evangeline RDC passenger service in 1956. They were the only RDCs lettered for the DAR and were in fact the only RDCs factory lettered for a CPR subsidiary line.

From the daily notes of George Parks it is noted that No. 9058 was east bound and dropped off at Truro on August 11, 1956 and spotted in front of the station for viewing and security. George also notes that No. 9058 had mandatory H type shelf couplers, oscillating lights and 13 pin MU receptacles.[1]

On Saturday October 30, 1965 (2), No. 9058 was involved in a head on crash with a Burro Crane at Coldbrook, Mile 3 of the Kentville Subdivision.
