Dominion Atlantic Railway Van No. 435459

This standard CPR wooden van was built about 1912.[1] (The Canada Science and Technology Museum photo catalog gives a 1897 build date but 1912 is more likley.[2]) It was retired in 1975 and first preserved by an owner in Digby and then in 1998 by an owner in Grafton,[3] where it may be seen today in a backyard not far from the old roadbed of the Weston Subdivision, the North Mountain Line. It has been restored to the pre 1920s three-window configuration.
