CPR1828
Built by MLW as an RS-18 serial number 82474 and numbered CPR No. 8793 in 1957. Rebuilt by CP as an RS18s, chop-nosed and renumbered to No. 1828 in 1985. Sold to Ottawa Central in 1998. Acquired by CN through merger (11/2008). Sold to Grenada Railway (2009).
According to Gary Ness, No 1828 was assigned to the DAR in the summer of 1986 for ballast train work[1]. Alternatively, Wendell Lemon indicated No 1828 was assigned to the DAR from February 15th to September 3rd, 1986.[2].
In addition to hauling ballast trains, No 1828 was also assigned to freight trains, and operated as far west as Yarmouth.
