Summary
The last mail delivery by train at Coldbrook, Nova Scotia, photographed by James Twaddle on August 14, 1956.
Notice the mail clerk kicking the outgoing bag onto the ground as he snares the incoming bag from the catchpost. This unique action photograph was widely printed and is also part of the National Postal Collection a the Canadian Museum of History. The eastbound train is passing the Coldbrook Station on the left, across from the Howard Bligh/British Canadian warehouse.
