There has been no description found either of the visit that would indicate the train should be pointed in the direction of Kentville. There is evidence however under research that suggests that the Duke of Cornwall (Prince George) visited Spa Springs in 1901.

Further evidence that the train was indeed headed for the valley comes from the photo [[:File:201580134.jpg]] that has, as best as can be determined, the same number of passenger cars and an air of a Royal visit at Hantsport.

While Union Jacks are flying on the upper left and right, the lower left of the engine seems to be showing a Red Ensign of the day with the provincial coat of arms on top of a white circle. On on the lower right of the engine is what appears to be a Blue Ensign indicating Prince George's naval association. Edward had no military experience.

This most certainly cannot be a Harold Jenkins photo with a date of 1901. Jenkins marked all his photos, taken or collected with his name so this photo was definitely in his collection.
