South Ohio Station
History 1874?- ????
This was likely a Western Counties Railway "1st generation" station built between 1874 and 1879 when the WCR started construction and commenced operations officially.
The first Western Counties excursion was a "Maying Party" that left on May 10, 1875 and went as far as Pitman's Road, just above Ohio, with twelve platform cars with between 1100 and 1200 passengers accompanied by the Milton Brass Band.[1]
Both Ohio and Pitman Road are listed on the WCR 1891 Timetable.
