Dominion Atlantic Railway Steam Locomotive No. 550.
This locomotive is a class D6d built in January of 1904 by Sashsische Maschinenbau A.G., Chemnitz, Germany (Saxon Locomotive Machine Works) and these type are often referred to as a "Saxon".
Never listed as a D.A.R. unit, it was never the less loaned to the D.A.R according to notes in the MP14 1944 of J. Mauley (2).
The last MP 14 roster this locomotive appears on is the the 1952 roster as a C.P.R. unit. (3)
