This locomotive was transferred to DAR in 1940 and officially listed as a D.A.R. locomotive in 1941 (1) and 1947 (2).  No. 470 was the only D4g on the DAR and retained its CPR livery and number for its entire DAR career.(3) It was regularly assigned locomotive on the [[:category:Subdivision Kingsport|Kingsport branchline]] in the 1940s and 50s. No. 470 was scrapped in [[Kentville]] in July 1955.(4)

Built by Montreal Locomotive Works January 1912.

  • 19" x 24" cylinders
  • 63" drivers.
  • CPR Class: D4g


No. 444 was listed as scrapped as of September 30, 1946 at Ogden Shops Calgary, Alberta after 33 years and 7 months of service.
