Waterville apple warehouses, 1916. Apple warehouse in the foreground was the first in Waterville, built by W.H. Chase in 1899. The warehouse in the middle was completed a month later by Northard and Lowe from England and managed by Lem Whitman, later owned by S. M. Chute.
