Description & History
Wilmot was the scene of one of the worst wrecks on the DAR. On January 14, 1894, a Windsor & Annapolis Railway snowplow extra derailed one mile east of Wilmot Station. The locomotive fell through the bridge at Gibbon's Brook killing both the engineer and fireman.[1]
