Dominion Atlantic Railway locomotives displayed a variety of number plates. They included simple circles with numbers and basic CPR style rectangles. The most notable style were the beautifully cast number plates which included a crown, indicating [[:Category:Royal Consent|Royal Consent]] surrounded by a heraldic belt with the railway's name. The number plates appear to have been painted both red and black at different times. A handful have been preserved.
