Yarmouth Station

Original Western Counties Railway wooden station, similar to the Weymouth Station and Digby Station. Note that in the photos below one can see the transition from a WCR station with it's unique adornments like the spires and the "webs" in the gables to a DAR station with the "webs" in the gables still in place but the WCR spires removed and a freight shed added to finally a DAR station with all the WCR adornments removed.

"Aug. 26, 1948, Dominion Atlantic Railway officially opened a new $50,000 station in Yarmouth that came complete with modern chrome and leather furnishings." (1)
A partial replica of the original WCR wooden station was constructed for Tim Hortons and Wendys close to the original station site.
