Dominion Atlantic Railway Diesel Locomotive No. 6560, Serial Number 81547.
An S-3 Alco built by Montreal Locomotive Works in 1956 (order no. 4015) and delivered to the D.A.R. in Kentville on July 1, 1956. These were the only diesels that were lettered for the Dominion Atlantic.
They proved too light and underpowered and by 1958 were replaced by GMD SW1200RS.
They were transferred to Thunder Bay, Ontario and later to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and were both scrapped in the early 80's after being involved in accidents.
