I have recently become very interested in identifying photographs with unknown photographers for a number of good reasons.
This was started by my search into the Paterson-George collection. You can see a note from ExpoRail regarding this collection here:

It's my take that identifying the unknown photographers will help with and future copyright issues and result in full descriptions and dates being discovered for many previously orphaned photos.
If you would, and I ask that you do as it's a very large job, help edit the wiki photos, you can start on this list here:
http://www.dardpi.ca/wiki/index.php?tit ... :ListFiles
Take a look at the photo description and if there is no known photographer please "EDIT" and add in the following category at the end of the page:
[[CATEGORY:UnknownPhotographer]]
and if the description and date is non-existent, sketchy or questionable, please as well add in the following category at the end of the page:
[[Category:IncompleteDateOrDescription]]
Thanks gents and I look forward to the day when we can submit a link to the likes of ExpoRail and ask that they review our photos to help identify them on subject and authorship.

Re: Identifying Photos with unknown photographers & descript
For those Clarksville Station and that of the house I'll ask next time I go there which will be when ever I finish my diorama of Clarksvilles.
Also I've found that for some of the pictures I've gotten off ebay, the person selling them doesn't have much information about dates or who might have taken the photo as sometimes that picture or slide has exchanged hands several times. But I'll try to put additional information of photographer if I get it or add the unknown tags you've requested.

Thanks Samuel. If everyone could at least take care of doing it for their own collections, that would be great.
I have also updated our "Terms & Conditions" page with more copyright information and notes that are very interesting:
