I think I solved one. The link to NS Archives J.A. Irvine shot titled "Horse cart at railway station, Annapolis Valley." I think this station is either Orangedale or Iona on Cape Breton Island. If it is Orangedale, the window is on the east end. http://www.novascotiarailwayheritage.com/photos.htm
Anyway, I'm sure it's not DAR.

Re: "Mysteries" in Wiki
Why are some photos listed as Mysteries when in fact the location is given?

Re: "Mysteries" in Wiki
I found it Matt. Now I know what you're talking about and I think you're dead to rights on that one! I'll leave it for a bit longer labelled as Orangeville and see if anyone else comes up with more information how this could have been mislabelled.
And I agree with you it never looked DAR to me either.
A good example of a real mystery is this beatifully decorated No. 25 at Windsor Station obviously transporting Royalty. The photo came with the description that it was Edward VII but so far the mystery is that he never apparently made an official visit to Canada. In fact no reigning British Royalty visted Canada until George VI in 1939.
The only visit by any type of Royalty in this time frame was in 1901 when the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and York (later King George V and Queen Mary) undertook a two-month visit to Canada from the east coast to the west.
So there's the mystery.
