Disregard this, it's the same in my files.

Hi Ric,

I think I see the problem. The top right file is improperly named. It reads CP54765side.ace and it should be named CP54768side.ace last "5" should be an "8".

Paul :-)

OK Ric, I can't see what's written in your files so the next thing to try is to send you the files I know are working here and hope they replace whatever is not working in the ones you downloaded from trainsim.
CP54765files.zip
(838.27 KiB) Downloaded 183 times
Open your CP54768 folder and delete all but the image and README files. Unzip this file, open it, copy the files within and paste them in your CP54768 folder.

Are you running Windows Vista or 7 by any chance?

Hi Ric,

Your original download must have had a corrupt file in it, wouldn't be the first time that's happened. Glad it's working now.

Paul

You have done a great job, even getting the different coloured panels on the rink in Kentville. That was the first inkling that the job was first rate. :D

I would offer some help but I don't know the first thing about the 'programming' aspect of MSTS.

Hi Ric,

Thanks, I try to find photos of what I'm drawing to try to get things right, can't always find them though. I'm sure it was you who took shots of New Minas and Port Williams for me back in 2005, many thanks for doing so, they sure came in handy!

Hi Ric,

Thanks for the offer, watch out, I may take you up on it some time! Being 900 miles away doesn't help much, have to rely on what I can find on the internet, an aging memory, and kindness of others, not to mention trying to backdate things to the '70s.

I'm not doing so bad, have half the buildings I need to draw for Wolfville completed.

I have not run any of the activities but I can find no faults in the track and your level of detail in phenominal Paul.

The parking lot at the Kentville station however has a patch of dirt that looks funny the way it fades in and out. It's like two bitmaps are sharing the same plane.

I'm going to wrap up and post the entire Dayliner set now which now has 4 Dayliners; 9058 & 9059 in both War Paint and Hockey Mask schemes.

I'll start to work on the CP Rail version soon as well as I'm trying to get this Phase 1 RDC pushed into shape so that I can also model 9049, 9050, 9057, 9060 etc.

I weill also get going on that list of cars we spoke of as few months back.

Hi Steve,

Next time your in virtual Kentville can you take a screen shot of the parking lot problem and send it to me and I'll try to find out what's going on there.

When I was in Cornwallis in 1980 there was an RDC running in Canadian Pacific with a maroon letterboard. Was identified on the AtlanticRails group but I'm having a problem with Yahoo screwing up my account and can't get into the message archives to find the number. Believe at the time there were only two RDCs wearing maroon letterboards left on the system.

Plenty of time for the boxcars! If everything falls in place it's still going to be close to a year to complete this part of the route.

For sure one of the RDCs was 9050 shown here in Tuscan in 1979:

It was also photographed by David Othen coming out of Halifax and that shot was widely distributed:

Hi Steve,

Yes, that's probably the one I saw going through Cornwallis back in the early months of 1980.

OK, I'll have a look at the parking lot at the station. This is two transfers over lapping, one's bleeding through the other.

A note to all who have beta 2.7...

If you open the route in Route Editor and go to Hants Border, the northern most end of track, you will find a series of flags. If you follow the flags it will take you to Brooklyn. I plotted this from the very fuzzy Google low quality satellite shots and wouldn't use this for laying track but it does give you a fairly accurate idea where the track will eventually go. This may not be the Rockies but it sure is mountain railroading on an eastern shortline!

It is surprising what a climb it is between Falmouth and Hortons Landing!

Hi Steve,

Yes, quite a climb! Only been through on the train at night I had no idea until plotting these flags!
