Harold Jenkins Collection

Post by SamuelMClark »

I'd like to thank everyone who helped out with the pooling money together to get Harold Jenkins Collection. Dan & I had a good trip getting the collection, and we were impressed with what we found. There is over 500 negatives in the collection. In one box a list of almost every community that had rail service in Nova Scotia and a picture of their station (1950s-1960s), plus some from PEI & NB. In the other box pictures of engines, RDCs, cabooses, MoW, & rolling stock.

It's going to take some time to get everything scanned I'm hoping for days when I'm not at work to try and get at least a minimum of 25 envelopes scanned. Some envelopes have one negative others have 2 or 3 in them. Just so others know I am wearing cotton gloves while I handle the negatives so that I don't leave finger prints on them.

The previous post about get the collection has been archived, and it no longer for public viewing due to the privacy request of the seller. If anyone asks the collection went from Harold Jenkins onto an anonymous owners then about 20 years later past onto another anonymous owner then about 15 years after that on 26th February 2017 it became part of the "Group of Ten" (as John calls the group due to number of people who helped out). If you do know the name of the seller please do not publically display it as the seller requested to be anonymous.
