Off the topic of railways, but because it's my family history, thought you might find it interesting as most here enjoy a broader history base than just trains anyway.
My Mom (she's 76!) wrote a family history based on her genealogy research and interwove it with the story of the Foreign Protestants. The book is self published and available on her web site:
