I showed Graham McBride, son of the DAR wharf manager, one of the colour slides of the Digby wharf and he revealed some neat secrets in the photo: http://www.dardpi.ca/wiki/index.php?tit ... 1959_c.jpg
He spotted his father in the photo and the wharf bell which came from an old DAR steamer!

Re: Digby
That's great detail Dan. And what a great idea that maybe could be done more is to show the photos from the site around to former DAR employees and get their take on them!

Re: Digby
Hi:
I came across a great three minute video on Youtube that I thought that I would mention. Go onto the Youtube site, and type "Digby Trains" in the Search Box. You'll see something called Digby Trains.mp4. It was provided through the Admiral Digby Museum and it shows various shots of trains around the Digby Station and the Digby Wharf. Enjoy!

I saw that video too. Great colour footage from the glory days of railroading. The Admiral Museum also has a short film on youtube of Princess Margurite's video, which shows a CNR passenger train at Annapolis. A CN passenger train on the DAR with F units. Whoda thunk it?

Re: Digby
I put the link on the top of the link page a while back. I'm always adding stuff in there as I find it. Don't be shy to add them as you find them either.
I love the coral Cadillac and the H-34 Sikorsky in RCAF colours. That's rare footage too along with the CNR Royal train on DAR tracks!
