I have a copy of a video called "Farewell to the Little Train in the Valley" which documents the final three weeks of Via operation on the DAR. It is two hours long, and has both runby and on-board footage (perfect for modelling in MSTS II). The footage is good for an amatuer, and it is VERY, VERY rare stuff. It also includes the last run of a freight from Middleton to Kentville in March 1990.
Now, here is the kicker. The fellow who shot the video, originally released it on VHS many years ago with limited release (probably at local train shows). He has yet to re-release it on DVD, as he would like to edit it. I keep telling him there are many DAR fans who would be chomping at the bit to get a copy. I'm not willing to make copies from my tape, as Ron is a friend. However, perhaps he might allow a clip to be put on Youtube.
If I could make a list of names of people interested in buying copies, perhaps Ron might get cracking sooner on the DVD.

Re: Evangeline video
Do it! Put me down for a copy. Ask him to come by and check us out here too.

Unfortunately, Ron doesn't have the Internet, and doesn't seem interested in public access points. Can you believe it!
