For those who know Jay, I though you'd be interested that I found out today that Jay suffered a stroke recently. The news came through my Mom who corresonds on the same geneology newslist as Jay.
"I do apologize for my delay in replying, I had a stroke Friday and it has slowed me up somewhat.

I have not spoken directly with Jay, but when I attended the NSRHS monthly slide show on June 11, the word was Jay was doing well. AS President, he did chair an all-day on-line meeting of the NSRHS the next day; lets all hope he is on the mend.
