Kingsport trains in the DAR's golden age
A 102 years ago today, the tiny village of Kingsport, Nova Scotia had this remarkable level of public transport - eight trains a day! Overnight connections right from the village station to Boston or Montreal! Plus a ferry across the Minas Basin. There is probably no community in Nova Scotia, outside of Halifax, with this level of public transport today. This is a replica station board which I made and chaulked up with info taken from the 1914 time table of the Dominion Atlantic Railway at the Nova Scotia Archives: https://novascotia.ca/archives/Tourism/ ... asp?ID=362
