This wonderful shot just sold on ebay: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/351588020358?_tr ... EBIDX%3AIT
There isn't a location listed. The seller sold off several DAR slides, so I'm wondering if this is at Kingsport. Does anyone recognize the scene? If not, these 3300 combines ran on the DAR and this is an excellent reference shot of the series.

I saw that shot too. I kind of wished that we had discovered an unknown combine and that scene could easily be in the valley somewhere.

I solved the mystery. It is somewhere on the Norton - Chipman NB line. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/401032063656?_tr ... EBIDX%3AIT
TRAINS magazine ran an article on this line in 1953 because it featured three 4-4-0's due to light bridges. After this, railfans from far and wide showed up weekly, according to Wendell Lemon. That explains why there are so many photos of this line.
Most of you probably know this story. The three locos were preserved. 29 went to Delson and later the S&H. After being damaged in the 1994 fire, it was cosmetically restored and was sent to Calgary to be put on static display in front of CP headquarters. 136 went to the Ontario Rail Association, eventually ending p on the South Simcoe. 144 is on static display at Delson.
