Possible new collection of DAR Photos - Rev. Gordon DeHaas

Post by SamuelMClark »

So found on the USA site of ebay someone selling two nice photos of RDCs which are in Digby but the guy is only selling with in the USA and I can't even contact him as I live outside of the USA. Any ways noted in the description of the photos

"Dominion Atlantic RDC 9058 loading many passengers at Digby NS. No date noted but probably late 1950's early 1960s era. Rev. Gordon DeHaas photo." And I was checking on the wiki and we didn't seem to have that guys name. The photo's them self look really good. Any one have maybe any more information on this Rev. Gordon DeHaas.

Also if anyone knows a friend in the USA who could buy the photos for you it would be nice to get. I'm trying to see if my cousin would buy them for me, but haven't heard anything back yet.

---update---

So some quick Google searches and plus information on where photos are being sold (Maine). It would appear that Gordon passed away back in 2001 and was a rail fan of DSS&A and also him being from Maine it wouldn't be that far fetched for him to visit NS to take rail photos

If Ed Gray is here, he lives in Missouri.

Sweet photos. You have to love that blue 59 Buick parked right beside it too!

These photos (5x7) are being sold again and this time he has it opened for shipping to Canada though shipping seems a bit much, over 13US$ They would be nice to have but shipping is a bit much for the size of the images.

They both have a buy me now option

I'd suspect they were one-offs on an infrequent trip to NS. Nice shots though and reasonable price (although the shipping is ridiculous). Wonder where the neg is. Look like a slide. The guy will probably print these and sell them for years.

Appears the gent passed away 13 years ago too.
