Kingsport and Weston Sub field trips

Post by downeastrailfan »

I am proposing a field trip along the Kingsport and Weston Subs. and anyone who is interested can participate. It seems like a small enough "chunk" of the DAR to tackle in one day, and I'm sure it offers many treasures.

Anyone interested? I can carpool with my vehicle from Dartmouth.

Nice idea. I'd be up for that, schedule permitting.

That sounds interesting! I'd love to do it sometime. I'm hoping to be in Sheffield Mills at the beginning of August for a day or two but am also in NS in July, if you do end up picking a date.

Should we go ahead and pick a date? I'm on vacation so can go anytime. What is your schedule Dan?

How about the last weekend in July (Natal Day weekend) or the first weekend in August? My girlfriend will be away both weekends, so that works well for me.

I'll be in NS for the weekend of the 24th-25th but it might take me a while to get to the Valley, so it would depend on what time you want to get a start. Presuming I'm invited. ;-)

Of course you are invited Mike. Are either of the weekends I listed an option, or will you only be in NS this weekend?

Yes, that's the weekend I'll be there.

Don't make plans around me, though. I have family with me, so I have to take into consideration what they want (or DON'T) want, as the situation might be. :)

Is anyone planning a trip to the museum this summer?

I'd still like to somehow see the photos and other artefacts they have start to get scanned one day.

Any ideas?

To be more specific I was wondering if anyone would be interested in setting aside a day or more to go to the museum to start to scan everything that can be scanned.
