Albert W. Manning Senior 188-1952

Albert Manning was a Locomotive Engineer for 49 years with the DAR.[1] Albert was born to William Manning (Father) & Mary Parker (Mother) on the 31st of March 1882.[2]

Manning was at first based at the DAR's Halifax terminal. He lived with his first wife Annie and their x children at 78 Veith Street in Halifax. Manning took his daughter x to work with him on a train run on December 6, 1917. That day, the Halifax Explosion killed his wife and their other three children.[3]

Manning married again.[4] By 1934, Albert Manning was the 15th most senior engineer with the railway. He lived in Kentville at 17 Sanford Rd util his death on 12th of April 1952. He was buried in Elm Groove cemetery on the 15th of April 1952.[5]
