Dominion Atlantic Railway Steam Locomotive No. 2551.

Wheel Arrangement: 4-6-2

Built by the Canadian Pacific's Angus Shops in February of 1909.

Specifications:[1]

  • 22.5" x 28" cylinders
  • 70" drivers.
  • 64' 6" wheelbase length
  • 75' 8" over couplers
  • CPR Class: G2s

No. 2551 was listed as a M&A unit 1927, as a CPR unit in 1938 and then from 1941 to 1955 as a DAR unit.[2] It arrived on the DAR in July 1940 and was the DAR's third Pacific locomotive. It was scrapped in December 1959.[3]
