Summary
Locomotive No. 999 pushing a ballast train past the Grand Pre Station from the Chris Gertridge Collection. Note interesting details on tender: single maker lamp and back-up light. Tender is clearly the original, pre-1949, tender for this locomotive. Date is sometime between 1937 when No. 999 arrived and 1949 when 999 received a new tender, roughly 1940s.
Also noticeable is the Lidgerwood Rapid Unloader between the wooden drop side ballast cars and the locomotive.
