1903 Nova Scotia Chapter 233 - An Act to amend Chapter 85, Acts of 1896, entitled "An Act to incorporate the Midland Railway Company, Limited."
An Act was approved by the Nova Scotia legislature on April 11th 1903 which amended the incorporation of the Midland Railway Company (Chapter 85 of the Acts of 1896) to allow the company to build a branch line from Truro to the coast of the Northumberland Strait.

Summary of act
Section 1 authorized the Midland Railway to build and operate a line of railway from a point on the Intercolonial Railway in or near Truro northerly along a route to be approved by the Governor-in-Council to Northumberland Strait.
Section 2 allowed the town of Truro to grant aid to the railway.
Section 3 allowed the Midland Railway Company to take land and materials needed for constructing the railway from ungranted provincial crown lands without payment. It also allowed the company to make connections with steamboat and other railway companies.
Section 4 allowed the company to receive grants from governments or individuals.
Section 5 allowed the railway to take whatever private lands it required for its railway.
Sections 6, 7, 8 and 9 outlined how the value of lands taken was to be determined.
Section 10 allowed the company to deposit or take materials used in construction of the railway from private lands.
Section 11 told how the value of materials taken or deposited was to be determined.
Sections 12 and 13 were minor amendments to Chapter 130 of the Acts of 1899.
