James Twaddle and his wife Irma ran a general store and the post office on Lovett Road in Coldbrook. James Twaddle photographed railway activity around Coldbrook, notably the operation of the mail hook near the Coldbrook Station which allowed postal cars to grab mail bags from DAR express passenger trains.
