The map shows the Yarmouth Station and Yarmouth Enginehouse as well as railway customers and inset views of Hebron and Weymouth in the era of the Western Counties Railway. The view of Yarmouth was one of a series of bird's eye view of Canadian towns and cities published in the 19th century. Other bird's eye views of DAR communities included the Bird's Eve View of Windsor Nova Scotia 1878, the Bird's Eve View of Kentville Nova Scotia 1879, the Bird's Eye view of Annapolis Royal & Granville Nova Scotia 1878.
