The D6 “Subercase” model is a kitbashed HO scale effort. I created it around 2001 using a train-show second-hand Roundhouse/MDC ten wheeler and detail parts. I Built up the tender using styrene, raised and rounded the cab a bit and re cut some windows, resituated and electrified the headlight etc. A great runner if a tad primitive by today’s standard.
I took the photo in our then-backyard on Wolsely Street in Peterborough.
The paint I eyeballed using Lavallee’s book on CP steam, which had I think one colour or colour used photo. Basically just used Tuscan or Maroon acrylic, hand painted from the bottle, IIRC. Sand dome stripes were the hardest part.
