Example of a memorandum from the Windsor and Annapolis Railway during the 1870s. The note is from Jack Johnson to his fiancee Dottie Stewart, both of Grand Pre, explaining why he couldn't meet her as planned. He refers to Andrew Borden, the station master at Grand Pre, whom he assisted when required.
