Founded in 1832, this Philadelphia company was an early giant in the construction of North American locomotives. Until it was acquired by the American Locomitve works in 1905, Rogers built over 6,000 locomotives. The DAR had one a possibly two Rogers locomotives, DAR No. 1 and possibly DAR No. 4.
