The Nova Scotia Information Service dates back to 1924, when the Nova Scotia Publicity Bureau was established with a mandate to promote Nova Scotia. The service has been renamed numerous times and moved to different departments but at times made extensive use of professional photographers who captured the DAR in scenic locations.
